Concept development and Full Shop-Fit Out of Showroom
Client: George Spencer Designs, Chelsea Design Centre, London
The Brief
Working closely with Luxury Interior Design and Architecture practice Boundary Space to realise their model for a more experiential retail platform for George Spencer Designs. Their vision was to create a space that allowed for greater customer interaction with products, a more comprehensive arrangement of lifestyle products that are on offer.
We were commissioned to deliver Architectural Development for the retail systems in developing the concept designs and visuals to ensure workability and suitability for product and environment. We applied project management Services that included surveying, project specification, manufacture and consultation with trade services and overseeing the full project delivery.
The Solution
The main feature and curved display units than ran the length of the showroom required some thinking through! – It was key to retain the curves as set by the designers to ensure maximum impact, whilst working to retain flexibility in hanging and shelving products with metal rails and timber shelves with the minimum number of components as possible – all of this and also ensuring when it came to installation the levelling and fixing of the curves to the concrete beamed ceiling could be maintained for safety of the system in as less a clunky way as possible.
We love challenges and met every one on this project – we delivered the fit out on time and with a minimum closure period of one week for the client so as not to negatively impact their operation and sales.
